Product Description

Hello Sports People! We are glad that you are here so we can share with you our inspiration to create a cosmetic brand for those who never stop!

To get here, we ran hundreds of kilometres in the cosmetics industry. For more than half a century we have been creating quality products for specific cosmetic needs. Today, after hard research and many tests, we present our sports brand. Sport Ready is not only the next step in our development as a company, but also next-generation cosmetics, created with an innovative approach and thought for each stage of your training.

We have brought together our professional experience and that of the sports community.

The result is more than an inspiring solution to the inconveniences of strenuous training, sweating, the challenges of time, conditions and terrain. We can talk a lot about the ingredients and their proven effectiveness, but most importantly: they contain active complexes, combined with minerals, natural oils and herbal extracts. This solves small or major inconveniences such as sweating, intense activity, sunburn, friction, odour and dry skin. Our new product development and implementation department has developed modern formulas with safe active ingredients. The recipes do not contain preservatives, allergens, silicons and mineral oils. Our departments confirm the action and safety of the recipes. Our designers have created dynamic and inspiring sports visions.

How to protect the skin from friction?

Chafing occurs when the skin rubs against another part of the body or in clothing, shoes or parts of equipment. It can occur in various sports activities, such as long-distance running, cycling or cardio training. The skin becomes red, inflamed and sore. The most vulnerable parts of the body are the armpits, inner thighs, neck, nipples and groin. Chafing can appear as a slight discomfort, but it can intensify and even interfere with your performance. In endurance races, small details like this can even lead to failure. One way to prevent skin chafing is to use appropriate cosmetics that form a protective film between the skin and clothing. Our formula with an active complex of bisabolol and ginger extract — SymRelief, in combination with panthenol and dragon’s blood extract, has been proven to protect the skin from friction during intense rubbing. The Sport Ready cream soothes the skin in case of abrasions or redness, moisturizes, provides long-term comfort and stimulates recovery.

Non-greasy and sweat-resistant — good for sports use (but no UVA star-rating)It’s currently April in the UK so I haven’t yet been able to fully put this to the test on my face, arms, upper chest and hands in bright, scorching, burning sunshine, but I have tested it on a warm sunny day while exercising. The cream is light and pleasant to use with the consistency of a light-medium moisturising lotion rather than a typical heavy sunscreen. It applies easily and is absorbed by even lightly-oily skin within 2–3 minutes leaving just a feint shine but no greasiness or oiliness and skin feels dry to touch. It has a very light scent with hints of lemon which fades after about 20 minutes. After 2 hours of exercise and some sweating I checked using a UV mirror to see whether my skin still had UV protection — it did which was reassuring to see.Although stated as SPF30 with UVA and UVB protection, there is no star-rating given to indicate UVA protection — something which is important to me having had skin cancer on my face and arms, very fair freckled skin and a family history of skin cancer. It’s a good sunscreen, non-greasy, very pleasant to use (which can’t be said for many sun creams), moisturising and good for sports use but a little expensive at £10.99 (£13.99/100ml)I will happily use this in most conditions, particularly when exercising or swimming but in the absence of a UVA star rating will continue to use my SPF50 with 5‑stars for now because I have to be ultra-cautious.

Don’t get sun burnt on those sport days 😎This sun cream by Sports Ready has proven to be fantastic during this mini heatwave that we’ve experienced in London. It is only an SPF 30 sun cream so perhaps wouldn’t be most ideal for hot countries in continents such as Africa or South America. I’d recommend SPF 50+ as in my experience SPF 30 was never sufficient for these holidays :).Regardless, for London, this sun cream by Sports Ready is perfect! It absorbs well on my skin and doesn’t leave any white cream residue which is great. It is even waterproof to an extent, so if you want to have a quick swim in the sun to refresh, you won’t need to cover yourself head to toe again in sun cream, perhaps just a little in key areas like your face.I also haven’t had any skin irritations with this sun cream. No spots or rashes which is a relief since my sensitive skin usually breaks out with any sun cream I’ve tried in the past. This is thanks to the formula being enriched with vitamins as such.Overall, a great quality sun cream and well priced. 5 stars!Thank you for reading my honest review, I hope you found it helpful! 🙂

3.5* Eek on the price, but almost unscented and very easy to rub in, and non-greasy.It’s not easy to judge a sun cream when you don’t really have much sun, but this seems to have decent credentials and is in a handy size that you could carry on holiday. It’s not the highest SPF at 30, but that is sufficient for this time of year, even on the continent. Later in the year, I’d need SPF 50.It is very, very lightly scented with maybe a hint of lemon, but it really is almost undiscernible, meaning that guys (most!) won’t turn up their noses or make excuses that the cream is too girly. It’s really easily absorbed and it feels like a hand lotion that goes in really well and that you feel the effect of immediately It’s definitely — it has a talc like feeling to it, smooth and slightly ‘slide’y’, though not slippery. It’s definitely non-greasy and it won’t spoil clothing. I hope it won’t run, but even if it does, I suspect that staining will be minimal. It’s not good value for money, unfortunately. There are big brand names out there that offer higher protection for a bottle containing 3–4 times the amount of sun cream for the same price as these 75mls. But, quality seems good and it contains panthenol, which is good for the skin. As it dries, the scent does actually become a little stronger but still almost undetectable.

Life Ready — Perfect For The Sporty & Non Sporty… Applies Well & Non GreasyThe brand name is “Sport Ready” sunscreen but I’ll be honest, my proper sporting days are pretty much in the past. What I do have though is a young family and if you have kids, you’ll know they are normally running around and you end up chasing them, getting them to wear sun hats, sunglasses and apply sun cream. It’s a different kind of sport, I guess.I’m pleased to report this is an excellent product for families. The cream smells fresh with a little light lemon scent to it but it’s not overpowering at all and I really liked that fact. It also absorbs really fast and is non sticky or greasy on the skin. Again with kids this is important as the moans sun cream application normally creates means that I dread those sunny mornings before going out.Improvements? Well I’d like to see a larger bottle and SPF50 would be better. That combo would be a winner in my books. Otherwise it’s fantastic. So although the brand is called Sport Ready, I’d also confirm it is Life Ready.

No UVA rating, but otherwise decentThis is a decent sunscreen but is not something that I would use outside in summer, so I only intend to use it in spring, autumn and winter. The reason is because it is only SPF 30, and has no UVA star rating.I am sure it must provide some UVA protection but as there is no rating there is no way to tell how much, and as such I would not trust that it really has any UVA protection. It spreads nicely and isn’t too oily, and does seem to work well after sweating or in the rain. The price is OK but my go-to brand provides SPF 50 and 5 star UVA protection at just £5 per £100ml, while this is effectively 3x the price. Compared to well known shop brands it is OK but it is still expensive compared to my dermatologist-created go-to brand.I would recommend it only outside of summer and would suggest that you find a brand with 4–5 star UVA rating instead.

Sweat resistant sun cream?Ah suncream! An essential part of everyone’s holiday! So what does this do differently? Well it’s marketed as a “sport” suncream which basically means it’s resistant to sweat so less likely to wear off and eliminate steps the need for frequent reapplication. The cream looks and applies just as any other suncream I’ve ever used, however I did notice it less prone to rubbing off around my armpits. Whilst I am NOT a sporty person by any stretch of the imagination I do seem prone to burning on the front of my chest/shoulders just at the top of my armpits, a fact I attribute to sweating more here, thereby reducing the effectiveness of the suncream. This suncream definitely offered more protection here for sure!I do feel that at over a tenner for a small 75 ml tube it is a tad pricey, so I would only recommend this product if you specifically require sweat protection.

Easy to apply, no white cast. This Sport Ready sunscreen cream SPF 30 is easy to apply, thanks to its lightweight, non greasy cream texture that’s quickly absorbed into the skin. It’s suitable for all skin types even for sensitive or delicate skin. This sunscreen comes in a 75ml tube for the current price of £10.49. It’s infused with Panthenol, Vitamin E, and glycerine meaning besides protecting the skin from the harmful rays, it will also help maintain a healthy skin, and help regenerate cell turnover.I love this sunscreen, it’s like applying lightweight moisturiser onto the skin. There’s no whiteness or greasiness you would get from physical sunscreens.Overall, a great sunscreen for the price that’s easy to apply. An easy recommendation from me.

  8. Andyamn

protected well over 4 hrs in strong sunlightSlapped this on for a round of golf the other day, so I guess I wasn’t getting the benefit of any sweat resistance, if the protection would diminish due to that. But the four hours we spent on the course, there’s little iif any change in colour with me.Ok, it’s factor 30, I’d say it lives up to that well.It is pretty expensive though, £13 for 75ml??Is the norm not about half that??Maybe if it really copes well with sweat & you’re not having to reapply, it’ll work out as being better value, but as I’m not a sweaty sports player, I can’t say.Absorbed easily, it did work well for me.

  9. Kelly

Lovely fresh smell — absorbs easily — great for buoyancy aid pocketMy son competes in sailing and most weekends spends 4–6 hours out on the water each day, this is a great size for him to put in his buoyancy aid pocket so he can re apply easily when on the water all day, this has a lovely fresh lemony smell. This doesnt show what the UVA star rating is, which is normally shown on UK suncreams which is a shame as it is something I always look out for.A big plus factor is that it is non staining, my son quite often has white or light colour rash vests on over his sailing kit and most suncreams end up staining the tops yellow round the neck but this is non staining which is great.

  10. Happy

Non greasy easy to applyI have always used very good quality suncream. I got this sunscreen for my running and The best thing about this suncream is that it is non-greasy and so easy to apply. I didn’t know that it is possible to have an effective suncream, which is non-greasy. Because it is non-greasy that’s why it does not go in my eyes when I sweat. For me, this is a big help really. They are long-lasting and sweat resistance good suncream.I am quite happy with this suncream.
