Phone information wrong.Phone was advertised as UK version. I contacted Samsung for advice on poor sound quality. I gave them IEMI No and they informed me phone was infact a non European model and not UK version. I returned item.

I hate to say itI compared this phone to my current Galaxy A9, and in my opinion the A9 (2018) is head-and-shoulders above the A22, especially in the two areas that concern me — The screen and sound.DisplayThe A22 display has this brownish-purple tinge. No matter the brightness of the screen, playing with auto brightness and going through the red/green, monochrome etc in Developer mode, all colours are dull and wrong. The lowest brightness level was better than the A9, but the difference between lowest and brightest levels on the A22 isn’t something to wright home about. Not close to the A9.SoundThe sound has a heavy dose of treble. Very ‘Tingy’ and hard to listen to.FeaturesI spent most of my time with the phone, researching screen issues but the menus since 2018 have pretty much remained the same (the A9 is on Android 10, I think the A22 is Android 11).ChargingIt seemed to be a bit slower than I was expecting but it has a huge battery.Overall, I had it a few hours, and it is now factory reset and will be returned first thing tomorrow. Gutted.

Great phone.A little larger than I am comfortable with. Doesn’t easily fit into a pocket etc. However, a great phone with excellent battery life. Always found Samsung phones to be reliable and of good quality. Very good camera.Highly recommend this phone as long as you are happy with the size.

Great mobile.Have for many years had Samsung mobiles and this one is a great buy.A nice camera and Radio installed.

  8. K Bullard

Reasonably priced 5g phoneHappy so far with it, good battery life, just what I wanted at a reasonable price

  9. Mr P James

Nice upgrade from J5Had my old J5 for a few years and been very happy with it but decided it was time for an update/upgrade. This model appears to be the successor to the J5 and I’m absolutely delighted with it. It’s much zippier generally, opening/switching apps and opening the camera.Other improvements of note- better camera with more options, face recognition (works great), full screen covering the whole phone surface, bigger storage (64gb up from 16gb), more RAM, better chip, still has a good battery (although you can no longer access it)But watch out for- it’s bigger than the J5 (but thankfully still fits in my back pocket). The display doesn’t seem quite as ‘lush’ and colourful as the J5, but still excellent nonetheless. Bloatware not too bad but the phone might as well be branded ‘Google’. Poor fingerprint-reader affair which is too fiddly and unreliable, especially if your phone is in a case.Conclusion- brilliant phone, easy 5* recommendation from me.

  10. Saikiran Molankala

Good phone but videos playing is a problemTried the phone for 2 weeks and every time play a video from netflix or prime video, I observed a lag with the video and audio. Video stops playing but audio keeps playing then suddenly video catches up with the audio. I observed this issue even with the videos recorded with the phone camera. Otherwise the features are great for the phone. Recommend spending a couple of bucks more and go for other budget smartphone options. Definitely would not recommend this phone. The other issue is with the return:I misplaced the original box when I wanted to return the phone. I was charged 20% of the original amount of the phone which amount to 31£ as I lost the box and couldn’t send it back with the phone. When the seller returned the money he deducted the 20% for the phone, deducted the postage charges from the overall amount and then paid back the remaining amount.Based on the experience, I would not recommend the phone or the seller for buying this Samsung A22 5g phone.
