Strong and good quality ring binders! — I like the anti-bacterial feature — Recommended!Rapesco 1658 Germ-Savvy Antibacterial, A4 2‑Ring PP Ring Binder, 35 mm Spine, Assorted Colours, x 4🚚 Packaging and delivery:These come packaged in a light cardboard box, no plastic is in the packaging thus it’s fully recyclable.📦 Package contents:4 x Ring binders (4 different colours)ℹ Function and qualityThese are just perfect for the office, be it at home or work, the quality is very good and they seem hard wearing plus we have the added feature of the ‘Germ-Savvy’ built into the plastic. The outside texture of the folders have a fine brushed matte effect to support extra grip. The folders aren’t your normal plastic coated cardboard type, but a thinner, PP plastic, no cardboard is used in the construction (ignoring the spine label). The polypropylene plastic gives the folder flexibility so it’s not as rigid, the only downside to this is that they won’t always stand up on their own.The 2 ring ‘o’ mechanism has been attached securely through the spine, this can hold up to 230 sheets of 70gsm A4 paper, however, I filled this with 40 poly pockets which contained about 4 sheets each and the binder was struggling somewhat. The metal ring holder is easy to open and closes shut firmly, it doesn’t open up on its own and each rings teeth match each other every time, so you won’t have half sheets of paper hanging out!The inside internal pocket isn’t that good, you really need to be careful what you insert in them because the plastic will tear away, it did to me when I opened one up to put some paper in, they are probably best used for one sheet of paper or a business card or 2 etc. You’re paying a premium for the ‘Germ-Savvy’ feature, this will get rid of 99% of bacterial on the surface, it achieves this by infusing silver and zinc into the plastic, this bonds to any bacteria and prevents them multiplying, effectively saying goodbye to their short lifespan. One important point to note is that this doesn’t do anything to viruses, as these binders are plastic, then they can easily be wiped over with any sterilising wipe.🤔 Conclusion:Overall, £12.49 may seem expensive but you have a quality product, it isn’t flimsy (ignoring the internal pocket) and comes with the added addition of the anti-bacterial plastic which supposedly lasts a lifetime. On these merits, I’m very happy to recommend them.

Good quality ring binders, strong and flexible!Rapesco Germ-Savvy Antibacterial, A4 2‑Ring PP Ring Binder, 35 mm Spine, Assorted X 6🚚 Packaging and delivery:These are packed in recyclable packaging, no plastic has been used.📦 Package contents:6 x Ring binders assortedℹ Function and qualityGood strong PP ring binders that are most suitable for home and office with the added bonus of the ‘Germ-Savvy’ built into the plastic, the assorted colours allows for greater organisation. The outside texture of the folders have a fine brushed matte effect to support extra grip. The 2 ring ‘O’ mechanism can hold up to 230 sheets, I personally wouldn’t place that many in, maybe half that, I mainly use high GSM paper and poly pockets so I’d be looking at a bout 100 sheets or so comfortably. The inside document plastic holder isn’t the best, it rips away from the inside cover too easily, just use it for the odd business card or two, even a piece of paper, anything more and it will come away. The ‘Germ-Savvy’ feature keeps the surface of the folders free from bacteria by using silver and zince ions infused into the PP. As the folder are purely plastic then they can easily be wiped over with a antibacterial wipe if need be🤔 Conclusion:Overall, £18.49 is a good price to pay for a quality set of ring binders and for the ‘Germ-Savvy’ feature, I’m very happy to recommend them.

  8. Halco

Durable ring binders with all the standard features plus an additional intangible. These are A4 Ring binders made of Polypropylene in China, they are easier to wipe clean than the cardboard ones, not the most eco-friendly thing to say, I know. This is a set of 4 different colours but you can choose to buy in a variety of combinations including in one colour. They have a standard steel ring mechanism. They have a 230-sheet capacity, from what I have seen, the average for this type of binder is 250, but this is not significant to me, as I would never push this capacity. They have a handy internal pocket on the inside front cover, which includes a cardholder. I am not so sure about the practical use of the latter, as it is too narrow for standard cards. There is a removable label on the outside spine which is good as it is 2 sided and can be replaced if necessary to reuse the binder. I would however say that they are not the easiest to get in and out without bending, tearing, or smudging the ink.A big selling feature for these binders appears to be the quote: ‘special Germ-Savvy antibacterial agent which kills 99% of bacteria’. The product page explains this concept in graphic and video form. Its effectiveness is not something I am equipped to measure and confirm, it very much boils down to trust. What I would say is that Rapesco is a brand that I have known for many years, and I have used a range of their office stationery products, so any confidence comes from this reputation. The textured surface of these binders seems to have the additional benefit of adding a bit of friction when they are filed together, it seems easier to pull one out without the adjoining ones slipping. In summary, these are bright, durable ring binders with all the standard features plus an additional intangible. The pandemic has hopefully taught us all that we have to try and keep things as clean as possible, so this claim is worth considering. The current price of £12.49 for 4, is a little on the high side, so it really comes down to whether you wish to pay a little extra for what they offer.

  9. McStick

Reasonably expensive but strong and well made ring bindersDespite paper usage falling in a more environmentally conscious world, ring binders remain an essential part of many homes and offices. This product contains 6 plastic backed ring binders (one each of red, navy, black, turquoise, purple and lime green), with each ring binder being able to hold approximately 200 sheets of A4 paper. Unlike normal ring binders, the covers are flexible rather than hardback however, they do still seem to offer adequate protection to the contents and perhaps even more so than normal ring binders, because the corners don’t damage easily. The rings are are also reasonably strong and close with a very satisfying snap. One of the selling points of these ring binders is that the covers have been treated with an antibacterial substance to help protect against germs, which we are unfortunately all too well aware of in the current environment. As a lay person, I can’t comment on how effective this is however, it seems to have resulted in a textured effect on the covers, which I think is a good idea in any event as it helps the user to retain their grip on the ring binders. The only downside of these ring binders is that they seem to be reasonably expensive in comparison to regular ring binders however, they should hopefully last a long time.

  10. I Try Before You Buy

Flexible lightwight4 pack of binders in 4 different colour perfect for school/work/homeoffice/hobby.These fit you as papers perfectly. They are 2 ring binders that will line up witha standard hole punched papers. The binders are flexible, thin and lightweight while been sturdy and secure. There is a pocked on the inside to keep loose papers in.A tab on the spine to lavle so you can see easily what the file is been used for.The outside is a matte finish easy grip. They are wipe.clean cab just use a antibacterial wipe/baby wipe/damp cloth to clean Spilsby or anything on it.Most intriguing to me is the germ-savvy antibac feature. Like obviously I can’t check to see how well this works but if it does this is a great feature and something more everyday handled it’s should be looking into.I believe now everyone’s a bit more hygiene conscious and if your passing round a file to multiple people round the office/at work then this would be a preference having a file that won’t breed germs all over it.Thankyou for reading
