Product Description

TLC from the heart. This is a moment of bliss – a veritable hug that will keep your spirits warm. Take your seat and settle in to savour the spicy-sweet zest of sun-ripe whole Sicilian lemons to the slow-dried ginger root with FairWild elderflowers. Finally the velvet kiss of manuka honey creates a cup of tea that warms your heart as well as your body. Isn’t this heaven?

Every Pukka plastic-free tea bag comes in its own recyclable envelope to retain the essential oils in our organic herbs. Each bag has two chambers, allowing these incredible herbs to flow and release the full potency in your cup. To help the flavours to fully disperse, pour boiling water directly on the bag. Every herb loves the water, so leave them to steep for the perfect brew. Infuse for up to 15 minutes. Boiling just the water you need helps make every cup of Pukka tea as sustainable as it can be.

Ideal for angry menopausal womenStruggling with the menopause and looking for something to sooth my hormonal irritation I came across these. Things are pretty bad so I bought in bulk but did not regret it. Delicious tea and great value for money.

Try it!Bought this as it was in bulk so why not? I’ve had this tea at least once a day for about a month now, and I can tell there is an overall difference in my health for the better. My digestive system seems to be the most overall improved along with pms symptoms and the like, along with better complexion, etc. Do not hesitate to try, you will not be disappointed.

Disappointingly insipidI usually buy these from the super market but got a pack of 4 boxes as they were better value. It’s my treat as they are expensive but i like the flavour and the ginger bite. When i tried them I was extremely disappointed. Even in a small normal sized mug one teabag was just insipid and I could barely taste the ginger… it had no bite at all. It was like hot dishwasher that was a bit sweet.Im having to use 2 teabags in each drink and do more than my fair share of swishing, dipping in and out and squeezing to try to extract more flavour from these oddly weak teabags. I definitely will not be buying again and have defected to Teaswine (I’m sure you can work it out 😉 which have much more flavoursome tea bags which I only need to use 1 bag in each drink and they are so potent I use each bag twice do they do 2 mugs each. The only downside to the Teaswine alternative is that i now need to take up swimming or alternative exercise for forearm toning as my swishing, squeezing and dipping days appear to be over.

A Little Bit Too Weak for Me…I wanted to love these, I really did. Organic and no plastic in the bag itself, that was a great start. Well packaged and arrived swiftly. All good so far. I bought these knowing that the instructions were to soak in hot water for some 10–15 mins and that’s fine, I usually don’t rush my tea and I end up drinking it cold half the time. I think that may be an age thing. So leaving the bag in for the required amount of time, I was mildly disappointed with the end result. Judging by previous reviews, I was expecting a full on explosion of taste that would sing and dance its way across my tongue to the back of my throat. Sadly, this did not happen for me. I know that we are all slightly different in our manufacture, so others may experience something else. What I ended up feeling, was that I was half tasting something. It was as if it was almost a second hand flavour. Like someone had used the bag before me and then tried to get a second cup out of it. The taste was there, but it was washed out. The smell of it was fairly pleasant but again, somewhat subdued.Bizarrely enough, after experimenting a little, the flavour seemed slightly better when I made the tea in an oversized mug, using even more hot water. It still was not particularly outstanding or that much of an improvement.Bottom line — I can not recommend these at all and I will not be purchasing anymore of this brand.Good luck searching for your perfect cuppa.I do not receive any payment or free goods for writing these reviews. I am just happy to share my views on my purchases with fellow like minded Amazonians in the hope that you may find it helpful.

Two bags together and still no tasteI originally purchased Pukka Lemon, Ginger and Manuka Honey tea from a herbal shop early this year. First time tasting it and fell in love with the lemony, ginger Manuka honey spicy flavour and the soothing aroma. Then i saw these on amazon and thought what a steal. 80 tea bags and it won’t break the banks. However once they arrived I thought something was amiss. First of all there is no aroma when the hot water hits the bag. No matter how long I steep a single tea bag, the taste was just not coming. I tried 2 bags together and you just about got a little insipid taste.I am still on the first box, and I will finish and hope the second box will taste nicer. However I am thinking are these bulk tea bags the bad batch what didn’t make the grade at the Pukka factory and are being sold at cost to get rid of them? Food for thought as these do not taste like the Pukka ones I purchased form the herbal shop.

  6. viks

Not for morning sicknessDecent herbal tea…BUT… licorice root, which is the second ingredient, should be mentionned on the front of the box.Ginger tea is sometimes used to relieve morning sickness. It is not obvious from the packaging that this tea contains considerable amount of licorice. Licorice root is typically considered unsafe during pregnancy.

  7. Panda

Nice taste, but didn’t work for meTastes nice, light like most Pukka teas. Mostly vanilla and cranberry but not bitter.I had to stop drinking it and give the rest away as it didn’t agree with me, it was causing more menstrual issues than relieving. (Very clearly tied to the tea as it stopped when I wasn’t drinking it)I’m sure it’s fine for others but for me it wasn’t right.

  8. Marisa d.

Weak compared to other Pukka flavoursThis is one of the weakest Pukka tea bags I’ve tried so far. Also, I was expecting to taste the cranberry, vanilla and rose more strongly but instead it tastes like chamomile — it is the first ingredient of the list which means it contains more chamomile than anything else. The flavour isn’t bad, just weak and not what I expected.

  9. Ñ

Tea bags are much nicer than the ginger coffeeThese teabags are reaally nice. Good for calming stomach achez+pains, even help ridding my migraines.Thought I’d give the coffee ago; prefer coffee than tea, but this is WAY too ginger for my liking; waste of money. So I will just stick to the Ginger-tea as this is cure for pains n aches.Care needed as some might be allergic to some of the ingredients; ***Liquorice Root****

Nice taste at a premium pricePositives- taste is very much to my liking. Not overpowering, and leaves a delicate sweet aftertaste at the back of the mouth.- packaging is fully plastic-free including the box and the packets the bags are in.Negatives- in my opinion, the full price is very much at the top end of the market and I am unsure if this purchase can be justified at RRP.- these days Pukka is owned by Unilever, which somewhat compromises their ethical values.
