Amazing flavour and effective formulaThis is probably the best non caffeine Bcaa I’ve used. And I mean that in a good way. The content is excellent, the blend is exactly what it should be and has the added benefits of a really good electrolytes mix. I hope they never add caffeine to this and leave it to the pre workout. I love having a mix like this that I can drink any time of the day without having to consume stimulants at the same time. The flavour is amazing too. No strong chemical smell or taste. The blue raspberry tastes exactly like the little blue 10p cum drinks we used to get as kids. The usual Bcaa sell is there but is not unpleasant or overpowering. And I’ve noticed that with this brand you can get away with not drink it so quickly as it doesn’t seem to go off in the bottle so no bad taste or smell and no stomach pain. I’ve had other brands that start to ferment almost as soon as it hits water. This does not do that one bit. Its 100% goodness. And amazing value too. Thanks mutant.

Fantastic tasteI train 5 times a week and have a rigorous body split routine. I dont mess with pre-workouts so rely on intra BCAAs so safe to say I have tried many brands over the last 15 years.Mutant is by far the best premium BCAA powder and its not hard to see why. The powder is clean, fibrous, mixes very well and the taste combinations are just fabulous (try Pineapple or Mango if you can). There’s no residual lumps, “manufactured smell”, funky after taste or “anti-social side effects” that other powders can give you. Best of all there are ZERO cals in the product. Something that the other BCA manufacturers hide on their lables since those products carry 50 to 80 cals a shot. The only real downside is that you will also pay a premium price for your premium BCA (anywhere from £15 to £30 for a tub) but it is worth it.I use it intra workout and occasionally through the day. It does not disappoint.

Helps to Prevent Muscle Breakdown (New Review overhaul)The media could not be loaded.

These BCAA help me so much because of my calorie deficit training I only eat once a day and in that 2–4 hour period a day when I’m trying to lose weight and be fit. Thanks to these Mutant BCAA I get fast delivery to my muscles and replenish me all over during my gym. Fuzzy Peach is one my fav right now but I think I personally prefer apple and lemon. The aminos and electrolyte combo take the edge off my cravings for food and sugar as well, giving body some sustenance through aminos and electrolytes. There’s no caffeine in it so perfect for intra workouts which is during workout. The only time I would have caffeine for cardio is if its slow release, as this helps the heart but without the spike peak heartrates you get with instant caffeine.I took 1 star off simply because right now I have not tried anything that beats this on the market, that and I hate having to pay nearly £50–60 just for 1kg of scivation Xtend BCAA which works less than Mutants BCAA’s.In my opinion all supplements for training should be £25 tops for any 1kg as I down 1kg in less than a month. and its mostly all not worth the prices. I train 6 days a week for 4 to 8 hours each time. My rest day I put 2 servings in those huge 2.2 litre water container and sip it bit by bit throughout the day. I’ve tried over 50 different variations of BCAA’s off Amazon and back since 2015.Mutant has been my favourite to be honest. because of its better priced than the others. I try to stay away from the sweet tasting products they all made me binge eat sweet things, and lost my diet plan. Sour/bitter food and drink is what you want to aim for without added sugars or salt, but also without maltodextrin which is a really bad sweetener that is so so high on the glycaemic index, which means high GI means high blood sugar levels, which causes the insulin resistance which makes you binge eat sugar and unhealthy foods, and thus bad really bad for the health. Also alcohol and smoking is a no no with training.End result is this Mutant BCAA 9.7 is a good product for what it does but don’t expect miracles, it doesn’t form tissues that make you bigger, it just helps with protein synthesis a little and replenish your electrolytes, the 3 main BCAA’s L‑Leucine, L‑Valine, and L‑Isoleucine don’t really help you at all, they say it helps recovery and others say it gives them gains, it does not do any of these the recovery part is insignificant (Regardless of scientific proof which is a small amount of recovery and not that much).Sleep and real food will get you the real stuff the proper healthy way. Anyone who doesn’t agree with me supports the scamming sports nutrition industry that sell overpriced BCAA’s that only have synthetic ingredients in it.On their own those 3 BCAA’s mean nothing but adding glutamine and other aminos and ingredients does do something, and helps but still Mutant has more ingredients and cheaper than Scivation Xtend 7g. I have tried them all, and found that scivation Xtend does nothing much on its own. Always aim for 9 aminos in a workout powder, and even though mutant bcaa 9.7g doesn’t have all the aminos, it has more than 5 and its main focus is electrolyte replenishment and protein synthesis which works for me.Personally I’d say Mutant need to have all 9 essential aminos in their brand 9.7, and less synthetic ingredients, using either Xylitol or Erythritol as a sweetener rather than sucralose and anti-caking agents which sadly most of them have these days, and it would then be perfect training powder worthy of its price. Just remember the less sweet the better.Lastly- I don’t recommend this or any supplement for people with kidney or liver issues, but if your healthy this can help to prevent muscle breakdown when intermittent fasting.EDIT= put a video on, and did an overhaul of this review as best I could to help. If its cheap it may mean the expiry is within 2–3 months time, I got at 37 quid from a seller and the expiry is end of August from June, silly its 1kg. I won’t down it in time!.

  4. Marius Constanti

It may be okWhy use such big container if is only half full 🤔?The measurement scoop is way bigger than is needed so don’t use it because you’ll be taking like 15 to 17 gThe seal looks like a standard one but no inscriptions written on it whatsoever and that’s strange 🤔

  5. Lava

Great for gym recoveryI’ve tried various flavours and find this one to be alright. My favourite is the mango one and the fuzzy peach one though. However, I find the BCAA to be amazing in muscle recovery and it allows me to work out almost everyday, where otherwise my muscles would be too sore to do. No sugar, low in calories and no caffeine are major bonuses of this product compared to other BCAA products, especially as I work out in the evening and don’t want any caffeine.

  6. Backdoorhero

Apple taste isn’t…. Great… performs well thoughSo the taste is awful, I got the Apple flavour and it just tastes chemically and like plastic. HOWEVER, it performs exceptionally well in the gym. I felt more energetic, might be a placebo effect, who knows. I actually double checked to see if it had caffeine in it when I got home it was that much of a boost. Will try out another flavour and see if that’s any better.

  7. Lewis Richards

Half full.Great taste, been buying for years but recently the pots seem very penny pinching. They seem half full. Those pictures are brand new tubs that aren’t even 3 quarters full. Half full. Dissatisfied because I’ve been buying for years, taste is amazing, quality is great but the amount has gone shocking.

  8. Elaine F

Nice TastingNice tasting aminos but does contain acesulfame k which is not good if you’re health conscious. I might not buy it again for that reason.

  9. HJM

AWESOMEFlavour is great, packaging lovely, mixed perfect. Gives a huge stamina boost for me. I mix it with my pre workout. Watermelon and cherry limeade mixed is sexy! Got through my sets very nicely with extra strength. Had a ton of energy on the bike after weights too. Higher level and barely tired. Impressive.

  10. Finn fowler

GreatGreat value for money, good BCAA drink withZero caffeine, hard to stomach for myself early in the morning (blue raspberry), have since switched to the sweet tea flavour which has helped dramatically
