Good rugged phoneAs expected,I was very pleased with my Defy, this will be my 4th Moto phone, does exactly as expected, good solid feel in the hand, usual Android 10 system, upgrade to A11 due but no date specified, would be nice if upgraded to 5g & wireless charging, but an excellent choice of phone if working an outdoor/active job,I am very happy with my Defy,& would recommend it unreservedly.*Update* Have recently been upgraded to Android 11,all good, working very well.

Great rugged smartphoneI’m really pleased with this phone. I spend a lot of time outdoors in all kinds of weather and in rough lterrain so wanted something robust, waterproof and able to take a few knocks. Ticks all those boxes, the camera is very good and the battery life is amazing. You can easily get 3 days out of it but with minimal use and battery saver enabled, probably much longer. The only downside is that it is larger than I wanted — I was looking for something smaller but small phones just don’t seem to exist with all the other features I needed.

phone voice transmitter doesnt work.Great phone apart from ability to talk to people on it as a phone. Not sure why but half way through a phone call the person on the other end can not hear me. Gone through manuals etc to see if it is set up wrong. Would be grateful of any tips. Had to go back to old phone as this one is no good for its primary function.

Continuously loses WiFi calling connectionPhone itself is ok, but annoyingly it loses ability for WiFi calling continuously and requires a power off and in to re-establish. Disappointing as I don’t get a network signal in my house so rely on this feature. Would like kecto return the phone because if this.

Was expecting more battery lifeEverything is good. Good work phone. Its just the battery life isnt that great when using multiple apps. Dont know about games as dont play games.

Do your research before buyingI was looking for a rugged phone from a reliable manufacturer. Be aware that this is a GSM phone that is apparently 50% compatible with T‑Mobile’s LTE network. No 5G service at all. My primary use for this phone is as a motorcycle navigation device. Apparently 2G/3G connectivity is enough to support Google Maps and Waze. Once I extend beyond T‑Mobile’s network coverage, I use Locus Pro in combination with saved maps (Open Andro Maps). Once I’ve taken this phone on a couple of back country rides, I will know more about it’s ruggedness. I will have more to report.
