Perfect for my son’s Year 7 school workThe media could not be loaded.

This has come down in price since I bought it, probably in preparation for Xmas but even for the price I paid, it was the best one for what my son needs. I had already bought him a laptop about 2 weeks ago but had to send it back because there were problems with activating Windows 10. Also, when it arrived, it felt cheap and frail because of the plastic case. Because of those reasons, we decided to get one with a metal case, hence this purchase.Everything works on this out of the box and for the first time I’ve seen, Cortana talks you through the set up of Windows. We like how robust the case is (being all metal) but that also adds some comforting weight to it as well. 2 x USB 3 ports is plenty for connectivity. I think that the most important thing that you get with this is the 4GB of RAM, this is a minimum requirement in my opinion for the internet etc. Also, the is a cover on the back that you remove to easilly upgrade the storagewith a M.2 2080 SSD card (this one will be increasing to 250GB over the next couple of weeks) but you can increase the storage with a Micro USB card if you want to take the easier and quicker route. As it stands though, we have installed all the MS Office Apps onto it (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and they all work great. So as I said, perfect for school, easily fits in his backpack, and he can use it to his hearts content at home.

Great Machine shame about the web pageThis is a nice PC/laptop at a good price and very quickly delivered. I installed a SSD hard drive and then got stuck with the idea of booting off the SSD. I went to their face book page but they are on holiday for a week/10 days. (My bad luck) I then went to their web page which gives me great info about the machine but no support about drivers or using SSD as boot disk. I had sent them an email but who answers email before your holiday, eh. So I winged it about booting off the SSD which I managed to do by cloning the EMMC to the SSD and then going onto the bios boot option from windows recovery and there the SSD showed as a boot option! Booted back up again and it booted into the SSD BUT with drivers not loading! Fixed that and the machine is running fine/GREAT. Had to tinker with the disk management to not show any drive but the SSD BUT I did NOT format the EMMC — that is to be done later after a suitable time for in depth testing. The EMMC has still got the original data on it so if all else fail in the near future I can boot back into it. Crossing fingers!! The reason I only gave it four stars is because I did not find a support page with all drivers on the makers web page which should be there! All in all I am well pleased with the laptop and really like the keyboard. I hope they reply after the holiday period is over with the drivers for this machine in an email to me or posted up on the web page. That is the reason for the four stars, otherwise it would be five!A few hours later I had to reinstall from USB (TOO MUCH tinkering). Worked well and am now running insider on the laptop. Confident eMMc drive can be used as storage so deleted/formatted the eMMc drive. It is doing well and have not used the eMMc drive at all!!

Great value laptop that looks premium!I really like this laptop! I think it’s a good value because you get a premium-looking machine that is made of metal, it’s super thin and light, the overall performance has been good, the keyboard is comfortable to type on, the display is sharp and the battery lasts a long time. So far I didn’t have any issues with it!Overall, I can definitely recommend this laptop as it offers a lot of value for the price!

  4. Benoit Vaton

Surprisingly great !When I bought this computer I didn’t really knew what to expect from this. Unknown brand, impossible to find anything about it anywhere else than amazon, etc..But it turn out it’s a great computer !Great looking and working great !It’s definitly better to upgrade it with a SSD because it can be a bit slow, which is normal for the setup, but once it’s upgrade it’s great! Also the customer service is just awesome.Quick and full replies, really helpfull, and really here for his customers. The quality and the look of a Macbook, but without the stupid price !Go for it blindly !

  5. Kindle Customer

A good choice for me.Laptop is living up to expectations so far.Storage was a bit small but have upgraded with a 500GB ssd.The support from LincPlus has been first class. Was supplied with instructions and graphics to help with the upgrade and also advice on ssd type to purchase at my request. So far cannot fault the laptop or support for my needs and feel this purchase was a good choice.Would buy again.

It’s great! Very good value for the money!!!I’m very pleased with this product as I bought only for £199… :)Great deal, good quality, long battery life, great monitor! Perfect size and weight to curry around the whole day! Battery lasts for at least 7 hours…It boots into Windows in 20 seconds!I have also bought a WD BLUE 3D NAND SATA M.2 2280 250GB disk for only £40, used Macrium Reflect to copy the partitions to the new disk and it worked great! My advice for browser: install Maxthon, Opera or UC Browser. Chrome will crash the system…I will definitely buy another one for my daughter!!!UPDATE — NOV 2020:POOR quality! The monitor hinge cracked as it is made of plastic.I bought now a Matebook 14 which is just GREAT!!!

great little laptoplightweight, good screen, fast. very important that you add an SSDHDD. i emailed the vendor who told me which one to buy. took seconds to fit- there’s a little door underneath that unscrews. a 500GB SSDHDD cost me £79. there’s only one USB port which is fine for most day to day use- however it’s worth buying a hub. bought it for my mother in law to replace her old, clunky and very heavy HP laptop. she loves this one! i was informed by the vendor that there was a potential issue with the keyboard. they offered me a replacement machine or to download a file to update the ‘EC’, thereby keeping my original machine. i opted for the download. they sent very clear instructions. the update worked first time. so far, no problems whatsoever. very happy.

Perfect for workNot enough storage but I upgraded it to 256G by ssd. Now it is a perfect laptop.

  9. @readtheblurb

After a year of use…This should be a five star review as when I first received this laptop it was absolutely fantastic. It’s a bit weighty but not to bad. I found this a great laptop for on the go as I’m a writer. Battery life is fantastic and I was able to use it for hours on the go. For typing it is also perfect as the keyboard is great. You can also easily upgrade the storage for the laptop.Unfortunately after a year of use the hinge has already started to break meaning I cannot close the laptop properly and it cracks every time I open it. It is almost on the verge of not being able to hold the screen up. I know this could “technically” be my fault but I take great care of my electronics and have never dropped or bumped it, so am thinking the case/hinge isn’t great quality. Also the storage seems to have run out. I’m not overly computer savvy so don’t know how to install the OS to the bigger SSD. This means that the OS is on the 32g HD. Because of windows automatic updates they’re taking up the space little by little and there’s nothing I can do about it. I’ve tried cancelling them but they force me to update. I’ve also tried re-starting the laptop to factory settings but am not allowed to do that as there needs to be a certain amount of space to do so.So yeh basically stuck with a laptop that I cant transport anymore or save files on properly anymore.

So far so goodHad for a few months now, and it’s been a great piece of technology. The laptop is quick enough, touchpad works fine (it’s a bit bigger that most laptops though, but can easily get used to it and it’s not really an issue for me.), the keyboard is great, very nice and smooth. Battery life has been great. At least 10 hours when fully charged. Took about 6.5 hours of movie straming till it died and that’s decent. It seems like it overheats sometimes, then it just turns off straight away, even with a charger (it would stop charging). Sometimes it does it like twice an hour without even doing much with it. But sometimes I watch films for few hours straight and nothing. It’s weird. But it’s not too consistent. Still liking the logo :)P.S. The logo looks like Linkin Park logo’s middle bit, so it’s kinda cool.
