No warning on how it affects blood pressureI bought this tea because liquorice is good for boosting immune system however when I bought it I did not know that it raises blood pressure and if drunk regularly can be quite dangerous depleting the body of potassium an d raising BP to high levels. It was only a friend of mine that alerted me to this so I checked on Google and was surprised by what I read. I am concerned because there is nothing mentioned in the Amazon details about these side effects, it is printed on the box but it’s a bit late then when you’ve already spent money . I will try t o send it back but I have already taken one box out of cellophane. When you look at the product details at “safety” it says N/A. I do think the company ought to state the serious side effects on product details if I had read this I would not have purchased as I am on tablets for high B P already.

fantastic please don’t stop making. strong & great price.First: these will 100,% raise your blood pressure, that’s what liquorice does, esp if direct root used . So please bear this in mind & don’t use if suffer high blood pressure,( then leave negative feedback as was hard to work out how good these would be) without checking your pressure & for those have no blood pressure issue. For those low, or need it to increase, this I believe is best, natural healthy powerful wayBrillant, everything about them. Glad twinnings stopped their liquorice 1s or would never got theseThese are stronger, better all round, need less to do the job, we use them for which is blood pressure.Taste more wholesome as well& it’s fantastic no artificialness used even with the bags.Plus, huge 1. They are cheaper. Was so expensive twinnings, tried get only when on offer 2for1. Didn’t think to try elsewhere & worried too ‚as if it works don’t try fix. But these work better, stronger, healthier & cheaper. Win win all round

DireI’m a huge fan of liquorice tea so I was happy to see this deal. What an absolute disappointment.Strangely, I had a feeling it would be bad as soon as I saw the packaging, weak, vague label, insipid colours and a skinny box. Like no tea I’ve bought before. But I really wanted to taste the tea. I haven’t had liquorice tea for ages, I was looking forward to the dense sweet taste.And.…Nothing.Nowt.Nada.I could have been drinking plain hot water.I gave it a stir and tried again.Zilch.A big fat zero for flavour and tasteSo I thought ‘maybe it’s a dud’ and chucked a second bag in the mug just in case…Wait for it.…Absolutely nothing.Just more…Nothing. So now I’m stuck with several boxes of flavourless bags of nothing. No idea what to do with them. Feels absolutely pointless passing them on to anyone else and a waste of money whether I keep them or not.Can see why they’re being sold in bulk now though.Absolute disaster Clipper Teas.

Beware. It raises blood pressure, risk of getting a STROKE!Beware of the side effects. I became very ill after taking twice daily for a week. I had headache, fluid retention, exhaustion, muscle cramps due to low potassium, burping due to much gas in my stomach. Worst was my blood pressure shot up to 170/100 and I had to have more medication to lower my blood pressure. It’s dangerous as high blood pressure can cause a stroke. I was so worried.

  5. unhappy customer

New batch leaves bitter after tasteI have been drinking this product for ten years and up until now it has been the best on the market. I recently bought 2 x 6 boxes of chamomile tea — batch no 20210611. The teabags now include what look like stalks — I thought that they had made a mistake with the batch. Other comparable teas only use flowers. The tea is much darker and leaves an unpleasant bitter taste. I have contacted the suppliers directly and been told that there will be variations in batches and that the tea is within their normal range. I will not be buying this again and have wasted £16 by buying in bulk. This is very sad as it is the only reasonably priced tea that uses unbleached bags.

  6. Michaela Siroka

One of the best tea brands available.I usually don’t like chamomile tea because other non-organic brands are too strong tasting due to chemical sprays they use on herbs and plants, but this tea is so lovely that I got used to drinking it before I go to sleep — very calming and mild tasting tea! Like it very much and highly recommend to everyone who’d like to help relax or sleep.

  7. Anna Frobisher

It’s Sweet!Very strong flavour and a deep yellow colour. It was too sweet for me and I had to dilute it down a fair bit before I could drink it. Even so not the flavour for me which is a shame as liquorice has some excellent health benefits.I can’t understand the reviews on here about blood pressure. There is a warning on the box about hypertension so people ought to have known unless that message has only recently been put there.

HITS THE BACK OF YOUR THROATI really like this tea. It’s a bit weird as when you first take a swig there is little taste, but as you swallow the liquorice flavour hits the sides of your tongue and the back of your throat. Weirdly satisfying. Reminds me of chewing liquorice wood when I was a kid.

Lovely strong flavour — Zero packaging waste 5 starsThis tea is one of my favourite herbal teas, Buying the six pack was great value and although I also enjoy Yogi licorice tea, I like the clipper for the house use better as there is zero waste from their packaging. I try recycling everything I have. The box goes in the compost bin along with the bags once used. Lovely strong flavour.

  10. Drayfus

Gorgeous teaAs far as chamomile teas go I think this is definitely one of the best out there. Not sure if the original of the actual chamomile flowers but I would imagine it’s part Egyptian as it tastes very similar. Amazing value for money when bought in bulk compared to my local supermarket so very pleased!
