SOinVogue — Brilliant Company with outstanding customer careThese are brilliant brushes by SoinVogue — soft and just right for travel. Truly excellent customer care by SoinVogue who dealt with a slight problem immediately — they could not have been more helpful. One extremely satisfied customer!!

  2. selecta

Handy make up setI bought this to have small brushes to fit into a make up bag, not particularly for travel.

  3. kyle walton

Good GiftGot these as a present for my sister this Christmas just gone, was a really reasonable price and she loves it.

  4. Lucinda

Beautiful, soft, good size brushesI love these brushes. Great size for a travel makeup bag and the brushes are soft and easy to use. Definitely recommend.

  5. Uncle Barbar

Synthetic ‘taklon’ bristlesThis is a handy mini brush set. They all measure 5 inches in length meaning that they will fit into most people’s make up bags. A bag or wallet would have been useful for hygiene. The brush heads are fat and don’t shed bristles. You have a ‘powder’ brush, which would be suitable for dusting off excess face powder or applying blusher, highlighter or shader. A ‘multitasking brush’ which could also be used for contour, blusher or highlighter. The third brushe is labelled ‘eye shading’ brush. It’s a large shading brush, a bit too large for getting into the crease. But it would be suitable for under the brow and corner highlighting. As an eyeshadow brush, it’ a little big for my taste, but workable in a travel set.The fourth brush is labelled ‘concealer’ brush. This actually looks like a fat, eyeshadow crease brush to me. It’s way too fat for a concealer brush — unless you have real problems. But it is useful as a shader brush! So you might not use these brushes as they are labelled, but they are still quite useful if you want a set of travel brushes, none of which are fine tipped. There is no lip brush. It’s not the cheapest set out there. They wash okay. I use antibacterial handwash or shampoo. They are labelled as being made in China, but there is a UK contact address.Apparently they are made from ‘taklon’. A synthetic fibre. The bristles and are said to be ‘vegan friendly’ and ‘allergy free’. (Aunty B)

  6. Team B

Brilliant brushes, love having what each brush is for printed on them!Make up brushes seem to be a thing now. I see them everywhere and there are brushes for everything. There are brushes for things i dont even do, it makes you wonder what more you should be slapping on your face! This is a handy little set aimed at foundation/base application. It includes concealer, foundation/multi tasking, powder and eye shading brushes. Two awesome things:1. the brushes have short handles so they will actually fit in your make up bag2. the brushes have what they are for printed on the handle!!!! No more pots full of brushes which, if you are honest you have no idea what they do!!Thank you Brushworks! I approve of putting the name of the brush on the handle. Not all of us can name a brush at 300 paces. The bristles of the brushes feel firm with soft ends. They obviously have lots of bristles (not one likes a semi bald brush). These brushes work well and the eye shading brush is a bit of a revelation. Oh, so thats how to do a smokey eye!Really nice, well designed and made set. Keen to have other brushes from this range.

  7. Sakazoke

Love set of vegan friendly brushesThis brush set is mini sized. Not tiny tiny but mini. So if you have a 6 inch make up bag then this will be absolutely perfect! The brush with more bristles is called a Mini Powder Brush. Perfect for a setting powder or a bronzer. I’m going to use mine with a bronzer. The next biggest brush is called Mini Multi Tasking Brush. Now I’m not sure what that means. But for me I’m using it with my blusher. If that fails then I’m going to use it for the highlight powder I have. The next brush is called Mini Eye Shading brush. Not sure what that means. I really don’t use a shader. And the last brush is called a Mini Concealer brush. I’d call it a bullet brush. And I’d use it for creating a smokey eye.It states on the packaging that they are vegan free. And Allery free. Sounds good to me. I’m not 100% vegan but I hate animals being used like this. These brushes are smooth to the touch and have silky soft bristles. I love them! And yes they are going in my make up bag to replace the Smashbox ones I have had for nearly 20 years. The only thing I don’t like about the brushes is the price. A little bit too much for what they are. But nevertheless they are a lovely little set.

Brushworks. Recommended. My mother and sister assisted me with this review, these are their thougths on the supplied brushes. The length of these versatile brushes is ideal as the chubby short brush give me more control on getting the right contour to my mum or sister’s eye shadows. The fibres used to make the brushes are very fine and soft and they have been shaped like miniature bee-hives with the longer fibres in the centre. The brushes are also very full and as such will not become matted in a lump when you use them to apply liquid cosmetics. Short brushes fit easily into cosmetic bags or cases. My mum advises she always applies powder with a large brush and the largest in the collection is ideal because the brush is really bunched tightly with fibres about an inch long, it takes up enough powder in one go to brush your whole face and the spread of the brush allows for the blending of the powder over foundation to leave a flawless finish. My mum and sister both advised that they would certainly recommend these brushes to their friends and colleagues in order that they can put them on their Christmas and shopping lists. Recommended.

They’re handy, pretty, decently priced and do the job well. Needs a small pouch for storage. These are very pretty, was my first impression — something I’d like to give as a gift to friends interested in make-up. They’re small enough to go in a handbag or even evening bag, and they do the job efficiently.I’m wary of looking like mutton dressed up as lamb at my age, and only like a light dusting of bronzer, which the powder and multitasking brushes allow me to do (I use bronzing pearls). It kind of seems a bit generous (superfluous?) to have both in the pack, as they’re near identical in size and function. The other brushes are for concealer and eyeshadow/shading, and again, both work well. I think I’d have preferred a thinner, stiffer brush for concealer that only needs to be applied to localised blemishes, but it didn’t do badly for my under eye area.Overall, these are a good buy, but I’d have liked a pouch for storage and hygiene. I’m not sure what the recommended Invogue brush cleaner comprises, but as these brushes can be used wet and dry, I think good old Johnson’s Baby Shampoo will do.

  10. Lilyfae

Fine little travel or starter set. Great little gift for tweens/young teens. To me this is perfect either as a handy mini travel set or as a gift for a young girl interested in makeup, they are good for smaller hands (both young and old!), they are affordable and they work pretty well considering the price point. The ombré bristles and the Rose gols ferrules add a touch of the luxe to the collection which does make them appear more expensive than they really are. They also photograph well for the wannabe social influencer.I wouldn’t give up my Real Techniques brushes for them, but they are perfectly adequate and won’t sabotage a beginners experience with makeup as many lesser quality cheaper brands and collections may do so. For me I would definitely be thinking of gifting these to young girls in my family or of my friends wanting to explore and dabble in makeup, good tools make the experience much more rewarding and these are a great choice as a beginner set.
